Giving Back to the Community One Meal at a Time
Puerto Vallarta is well-known for its strong sense of community. Mexican nationals, tourists, and foreign residents who now call this city their home—the community here is vibrant and diverse.
For many who live in Puerto Vallarta, putting food on the table every day is difficult. Foodies Week Puerto Vallarta was created to help raise funds for local charities who help feed those who are hungry while helping promote local businesses and bringing special culinary offers to diners.
Foodies Week Puerto Vallarta is a project started by Henry Ho of Canto Modern Cantonese Bistro as a way to give back to the community while celebrating the fast-growing food scene in this beach town. With Canto being the pilot restaurant, the goal is to demonstrate this project is sustainable and can make an impact on hunger.
Restaurant Owners
We cannot embark on this mission alone. Join us in our fight to end hunger by being a part of Foodies Week Puerto Vallarta.
There is a small participation fee that will go towards promotion and marketing costs. Graphic design and marketing services are generously donated, so costs will primarily be ad buys and printing costs. Any money leftover will be donated. The organizers keep no profit.
Additionally, restaurant owners will commit to donating 15% of each sale from their Foodies Week menu. This will be done on an honor system but the organizers may ask to audit the numbers if necessary. We also ask restaurant owners to host a cash donation box should their diners wish to contribute more to the charity.
The organizers of Foodies Week Puerto Vallarta will make available the finances publicly.
